
Use of public right of ways within the unincorporated limits of the county, such as culvert installations and curb cuts for commercial driveways, require a highway permit agreement. This agreement allows for the installation, operation, maintenance, location or removal of a licensee’s facilities. The agreement, once completed, should be submitted to Shelley Oldham, 1144 S. Seneca, Wichita, KS 67213.
All utilities located within the public right-of-way of the
unincorporated limits of the county require a Utility Permit Agreement to be on
file with the
Public Works will size
and install a culvert along county maintained highways, but it is the
responsibility of the property owner to purchase the culvert and make
arrangements for delivery to the installation site. Please note that culverts
that are to be installed along township maintained roads fall within the
jurisdiction of the appropriate township. The applicant should contact the
township to arrange for the purchase and installation of the culvert once an
application has been approved by Public Works.
