Sedgwick County is served by eight county fire stations located strategically throughout the county.  All stations are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year by full-time trained firefighters and EMTs.  The area of the map above in white represent Sedgwick County Fire District #1 and is protected by the Sedgwick County Fire Department.  Areas shaded in different colors represent portions of the county that are served by other city fire departments.  Those districts' fire departments serve as the primary responders to emergency calls requiring fire response, with the Sedgwick County Fire Department serving as a secondary response when requested.
