Station 37, the Raymond A. Davis Headquarters Station,
located at 4343 N. Woodlawn, Wichita (Bel Aire), was built in 1973 and is
approximately 7,700 sq. ft. in size with six bays and covers a response area
of 54 square miles with both urban and rural areas. The station provides first
response on medicals calls within the city limits of Wichita. The Technical
Rescue team for the Fire Department is located at Station 37.
The administrative offices, located in the basement of
Station 37, occupy approximately 7,500 sq. ft. The basement houses the offices
for the Chiefs, Safety/Training, Medical, Fire Prevention, and Clerical Staff.
Major businesses protected by Station 37 include:
Catholic Care Center, BelAire Industrial Park, Furley CO-OP, Koch Industries,
and several apartment complexes within the City of Wichita.

37, Boat 37, and Jetski 37, and operates on a 3-shift (platoon)
rotation. The crews work a 24-hour shift on and 48 hours off. Six personnel
are assigned to each shift, including 1 Captain, 1 Lieutenant, 1 Flex
Lieutenant, 3 Firefighters. The Flex Lieutenant is assigned to the Mobile
Air or to fill in for personnel who are on sick leave, injury leave, funeral
leave, vacation, or otherwise unable to work.
