Sedgwick County Prescription Discount Card Program Updates
Some individuals have had questions about the Sedgwick County Prescription Discount Card regarding the $4 generic prescription programs at many local retailers as well as whether or not cards are available in Spanish. See below for answers!
Q. Do I have to choose between my
prescription discount card and the $4 generic
options?
A. No, always present your prescription discount
card at a participating pharmacy so you will
receive the lowest price possible. You will
receive either the $4 generic medication price,
or the prescription discount card price,
whichever is lower.
Q. Can I get an additional discount off the
$4 generic price if I show my discount card?
A. No, when presenting your prescription
discount card, you will receive either the
pharmacy's $4 price, or the discount card price,
whichever is lower. Remember: With the
prescription discount card, you will receive the
best price available for your prescription
medication on that day from the pharmacy.
Q. Are Sedgwick County
Prescription Discount Cards available in
Spanish?
A. Yes! Posters for the discount card are also
now available in both English and Spanish. If
you are interested in receiving a card in
Spanish, or a poster advertising that the card
is available for distribution at your agency,
please contact Brandi Clarke at
brclarke@sedgwick.gov or 660-7673.
