The Professional Standards Unit (PSU) ensures fairness and objectivity by conducting an impartial investigation and review of formal complaints of misconduct by personnel. PSU reviews all use of force incidents involving employees. PSU functions also include statistical analysis of reports, policy and procedure and determine if there is a need for change in policy. The unit also updates the computerized online policy and procedure manuals.
