NOTICE - Tag Offices Reopen May 9
The Sedgwick County Treasurer’s Office has completed the transition to a new
data management system, and tag offices will reopen to the public May 9.
The tag offices will offer extended business hours from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 9,
10 and 11 to accommodate residents who were not able to access the offices
during the transition.
May renewals include residents whose last names begin with E, F or G.

Tag renewals are due this month for those persons with last names beginning with letters

Motor Vehicle Online Renewal System
DID YOU KNOW? You can renew your license tag over the Internet, paying with a major credit card or electronic check. Just go to the Kansas DMV website and follow the easy directions. A convenience fee will be applied.
Didn't get a renewal form for your vehicle?
Call 660-9110 with your tag number and current mailing address or submit a renewal request online. We will mail out your registration information and you can mail your payment back!
What do I need to renew my tags in person?

Registration renewal application with current address and zip code, signed by vehicle owner

Physical proof of insurance (insurance card or click here for a list of options)

Registration receipt from current year or tag number (if application was not received in the mail)

Main Tag Office
Hours: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Except County Holidays
Vehicle Inspection Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Title work is NOT accepted after 4 p.m.
Tag Office Substations:
Hours: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Except County Holidays
Vehicle Inspection Hours: Tuesdays only from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Title work is NOT accepted after 4 p.m.
A $2.00 fee will be applied to each transaction handled at any of the tag office substations

NOTICE: Beginning June 1, 2011, appraiser staff members will no longer be available at the Derby location. Boat registration can be processed through the clerk’s office in the Sedgwick County Courthouse, 525 N. Main or with the Fish and Game Division at 29th and Woodlawn in Wichita. Fishing permits may be purchased at Wal-Mart in Derby. Call 660-9110 for further details and appraiser contacts.
