In the November Kansas Government Journal, there was an insert called “Engaging Your Community.” This guide has Kansas-specific information that is ready for you to use to promote the census in your community. The League of Kansas Municipalities has created communication tools for others to use. There are city-specific infographics for each city in Kansas, social media messages/graphics, logos, etc. to use on city social media accounts. The best way to access these resources for cities is to go to the website www.KansasCounts.org and click on “Government Resources” in the main navigation. Then, scroll down until you see maroon buttons that say branding + messaging, and other resources.

To locate a personalized city infographic, visit www.KansasCounts.org, and click on “Government Resources” in the top/main navigation. Scroll down until you see a map of the state and click on the map. Then, type in what city you want to get the infographic for and then open the personalized PDF for your city. All of this data has been pulled from census data collections and tells a good picture of your community based on health, education, housing, and the economy. Your city can use all of these resources to promote the census. We recommend using the infographics in utility bills, on city websites, social media, etc.
