Biography
Jeff Blubaugh is a native Kansan, born and raised in Harper County. After graduating from Chaparral High School, he moved to Wichita, where he has lived for more than 30 years. Jeff is married to wife Meghan, and they have four children.
Jeff began his career at Cessna Aircraft and went to college at night, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Science in Management from Friends University. He enhanced his degrees with post-graduate work, completing the Growth Leadership Development program at the Fisher School of Business at Ohio State University. Jeff is also a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt in Lean Management and Strategic Facilitation Training.
In 2009, when the recession hit, Jeff's 17-year career at Cessna ended. He went on to real estate where he is currently an owner and broker at Jeff Blubaugh Real Estate. His government experience started when he was elected to the Goddard School Board in 2011 and then won election to the Wichita City Council in 2013, representing District 4. Jeff served a total of 11 years on the Wichita City Council, with two terms as Vice Mayor. He also served on the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Committee, Greater Wichita Economic Development Corporation and Greater Wichita Sports Commission. This career experience, coupled with Jeff's education and commitment to family, will ensure he makes sound financial decisions that benefit Sedgwick County and its residents.
