(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Sedgwick County Commissioners appointed Mark Clark as County Appraiser today. Clark has been employed by the Appraiser’s Office for 25 years, recently as Interim County Appraiser since September 2018. He succeeds former County Appraiser Mike Borchard who retired in September 2018 after nearly 30 years of service.
“Mark brings industry knowledge, organizational experience and expertise to this role,” said Chairman Pete Meitzner. “We are pleased to have him on board and leading the Appraiser’s Office.”
Clark is a Kansas Registered Mass Appraiser and holds an Assessment Administration Specialist designation from the International Association of Assessing Officers. He is a current member of the Kansas County Appraiser’s Association. He has two graduate degrees from Wichita State University, a Masters in Economics and Masters in Public Administration.
The Appraiser’s Office determines value for 224,488 residential, agricultural, multi-family, commercial, and industrial parcels, as well as 34,600 personal property accounts.
