DC18 Services Disrupted Due to Kansas Judicial Branch Network Security Incident

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) -Yesterday, the Kansas Judicial Branch had a security incident on a portion of its network infrastructure. Late this morning, Sedgwick County IT received a recommendation to shut down connections to District Court networks. As a precaution, Sedgwick County has shut down network connections to the state’s Odyssey/eCourt system and District Court 18 (DC18). These network connections will remain disconnected until the judicial branch and Sedgwick County IT deem it safe to restore services.

Due to the network disruption and Sedgwick County shutting down the network connection, DC18 does not have phone service in their offices, as well as fax services and access to other County applications. In addition, courts do not have access to eFiling and cannot accept electronic payments, whether by credit card, electronic check or another electronic method. However, they are open to the public for in-person visits and paper filings.
