Sedgwick County reminds residents to set clocks back one hour this Sunday for the end of daylight saving time.

This time of year also serves as a reminder to test the batteries in smoke detectors and weather radios to ensure they will work when needed. At least one working smoke detector should be installed on each level of the home and near bedrooms.

And remember, the more you know about severe weather, the safer you can be from it. There are still multiple opportunities to participate in a severe weather safety class; the complete schedule is available at www.sedgwickcounty.org.
