(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Sedgwick County Election Commissioner Laura Rainwater is reminding voters of several important dates this month, in preparation for the 2024 Primary Election on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
Tuesday, July 16, is the last day Sedgwick County residents can register to vote and be able to cast a ballot in the Primary Election.
- Online voter registration applications are available at: Welcome - Kansas Online Voter Registration (ks.gov).
- Citizens can also register by mail or in person at the Sedgwick County Election Office, 510 N. Main, Suite 101, until 5 p.m.
- Voters can check their registration status at Kansas Secretary of State | VoterView (voteks.org).
Wednesday, July 17, advance ballots for the Primary Election begin mailing.
- Voters can request an advance voting application in person at the Election Office, by calling (316) 660-7100 or emailing voterinformation@sedgwick.gov.
Monday, July 22, early in-person voting begins at the Election Office from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Laura Rainwater will be available for media interviews at 10 a.m. in the Election Office Early Voting Room.
Tuesday, July 30, voters who want an advance ballot application mailed to them must request it by 5 p.m. today. Satellite locations for early in-person voting open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. until Aug. 2 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Aug. 3.
- Laura Rainwater will be available for media interviews July 30 at 10 a.m. at the Sedgwick County Extension Office, 7001 W. 21st N.
