County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner, Dr. Garold Minns, and Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple will participate in a press conference at 1 p.m. about the newly signed stay-at-home order.
Following their comments, Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter, Wichita Police Chief Gordon Ramsay, District Attorney Marc Bennett, and 911 Director Elora Forshee will speak about enforcement of the order and how it affects public safety operations.
During the news briefing, County officials will comply with the social distancing guidelines from Governor Laura Kelly’s Order. No more than 10 public officials will attend the briefing. The media and public will be limited to 10 people. This is two separate gatherings of 10 people.
