Burn restrictions continue to be in effect for Sedgwick County until Wednesday, March 9th, 2016. High winds and dry conditions are forecasted through today, with our next chance of precipitation arriving today and into Wednesday. All current burn permits will be suspended until at least Tuesday. All open and agricultural burning will be prohibited. Use of chimenea’s and other small outdoor fireplaces will be allowed but citizens are urged to use extreme caution. Cigarettes should be fully extinguished in water before being properly disposed of in a metal can. This ban does not include outdoor cooking appliances. The ban on burning will be re-evaluated Wednesday morning.
