 *Sedgwick County’s data reflects people who test positive with nasopharyngeal (NP) swab molecular testing (confirmed COVID-19 cases). The KDHE dashboard differs because it also includes people who are IgM antibody test or antigen test positive if they are linked to a confirmed case or if they have COVID-19 symptoms.

 

Vaccination Doses Given by Sedgwick County

  • Sedgwick County has expanded vaccine appointments for residents aged 75 and older through the Sedgwick County Health Department.
  • The County will not schedule more appointments than the vaccine available. For more information, please visit: https://www.sedgwickcounty.org/covid-19/vaccine/
  • There will be two vaccine clinics, one at INTRUST Bank Arena to vaccinate health care workers and residents aged 75 and older who are mobile and a drive-thru clinic at Wichita Transit Operations for residents 75 and older who have mobility difficulties. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early for your appointment time.

Sedgwick County Health Department Update

  • No-cost, walk-in testing is regularly available for residents, regardless of symptoms, through the Health Department Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 11:20 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. No appointment is required.
    • Operations will take place at the Sedgwick County Extension Office, 7001 W. 21st St., Wichita, 67205 for saliva, NP, and oral PCR samples
    • Results are generally available within 18 to 36 hours.  The Health Department will make three attempts to reach residents with their results.
      • If you receive a voicemail or missed call from the Health Department please call back in order to receive your results.
      • For the quickest response please call (316) 660-1022 and listen for the prompt to leave a message for the results department. 
  • The Sedgwick County Health Department’s no cost COVID-19 walk-in sampling at the Extension Office will be closed Monday, February 15. Normal hours of operation will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16.

 

Sedgwick County Updates

  • The local health orderis currently in place through 11:59 p.m. on March 20, 2021.
    • It includes a mass gathering limit of 100 people and mask wearing requirements.
  • Please report any businesses in violation of this order through the online portal: https://www.sedgwickcounty.org/covid-19/violations/
  • County offices will be closed on Monday, February 15 for President’s Day.
