The KDHE dashboard differs because it also includes people who are IgM antibody test or antigen test positive if they are linked to a confirmed case or if they have COVID-19 symptoms.

 

Vaccination Doses Given by Sedgwick County

  • Sedgwick County has expanded vaccine appointments to all population categories in Phase 2.
    • Phase 2 includes individuals 65 and older, K-12 staff, congregate settings, public safety agencies, veterinarians, employees in licensed childcare facilities, aviation manufacturing plants and supply chain, meat processing plants, public transportation (ground and air), clergy, higher education, private sector packaging and postal delivery, grocery store and food service employees, high contact agriculture, retail sales, warehouse employees and banking employees.
  • Sedgwick County vaccine appointments are currently for all groups in Phase 2, K-12 school personnel, health care associated workers and residents aged 65 and older through the Sedgwick County Health Department.
  • Appointments are available at the following locations:
  • 223 S. Main | Former Wichita Central Library | Mondays through Saturdays
  • 7001 W. 21st | K-State Research & Extension | Mondays through Saturdays
  • Please arrive to your vaccine appointment no more than 15 minutes early and plan to allow at least 45 minutes for the vaccine appointment.

Sedgwick County Health Department Update

  • No-cost, walk-in testing is regularly available for residents, regardless of symptoms, through the Health Department Monday through Friday, 8:30 to noon. No appointment is required.
    • Operations will take place at the Sedgwick County Extension Office, 7001 W. 21st St., Wichita, 67205 for saliva, NP, and oral PCR samples
    • Results are generally available within 18 to 36 hours. The Health Department will make three attempts to reach residents with their results.
      • If you receive a voicemail or missed call from the Health Department please call back in order to receive your results.
      • For the quickest response please call (316) 660-1022 and listen for the prompt to leave a message for the results department. 

 

 

Sedgwick County Updates

  • Minns signed a new local health order that will begin at 12:01 a.m. March 21, 2021.
  • The local health order is currently in place through 11:59 p.m. on March 20, 2021.
    • It includes a mass gathering limit of 100 people and mask wearing requirements.
    • Bars and restaurants have no curfew restrictions (unless other state/local laws apply)
    • Mid-size venues (with capacity of 400 to 1,000) may host events as long as the capacity of the event does not exceed 25 percent of the maximum fire code capacity of the space.
