Beginning Friday, November 16, Sedgwick County Park’s north entrance will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to improve the pedestrian path across the entrance. This closure will continue through next week, weather permitting.
Public Works will add a culvert on the north side of the driveway that will provide a pedestrian access point into or from the northeast portion of the Park. The roadway north of that drive will be widened and a new section of path will be added for people to extend their bike ride or walk to the west.
This project will improve pedestrian safety for people using the paths eastward along 21st Street and east of the main road.
