WHEREAS, on March 24, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved Resolution No. 70-2021, which made certain recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID- 19; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners can utilize its home rule powers pursuant to K.S.A. 19-101, et seq. to issue and modify public health recommendations and guidance; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that it is appropriate to amend Resolution No. 70-2021, as indicated within this resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SEDGWICK COUNTY, KANSAS that:
SECTION 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Sedgwick County amends Resolution No. 70-2021, Section 1, to read as follows:

A. Strongly recommends that individuals become vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as they are eligible, consistent with CDC recommendations; and
B. Encourages businesses and organizations to determine, in their best judgment, whether to require individuals to wear masks or other face coverings and/or to maintain social distance from one
SECTION 2. This resolution is effective upon its approval by the Board of County Commissioners.
