Licensed Medical Professionals Needed
If you are a licensed medical professional, the Sedgwick County Health Department requests your help. Volunteers are needed to assist at the COVID-19 testing sites as more sampling supplies are available to the County.
Healthcare professionals in nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, phlebotomy and laboratory science interested in volunteering their time need to contact MRC@sedgwick.gov. Volunteers are needed on average two hours daily Monday through Friday. Volunteers can choose in advance which days to work.

Sedgwick County Health Department Ambassador Program
WHAT IS AN AMBASSADOR?
Sedgwick County Health Department (SCHD) Ambassadors are volunteers with a passion for engaging with their community to help build vaccine confidence and knowledge, correct misinformation and counter myths about COVID-19.
Ambassadors help spread the message that safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines prevent severe illness and save lives. They share this message with friends, neighbors and community members at places of worship, book clubs or hobby groups, coffee shops, libraries, community centers and in many other settings where people live, work, and play.
Ambassadors receive free training that equips them to share knowledge about COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccines and to engage in conversations in a respectful and empathetic way.
HOW DO YOU BECOME AN AMBASSADOR?
Neighborhood Ambassador: After completing online training to receive a certificate, Neighborhood Ambassadors will represent themselves and speak knowledgably about COVID-19.
County Ambassador: After completing online and in-person training to receive a certificate, County Ambassadors can represent the County at official events (for volunteer hours) or can represent themselves when talking to others. County Ambassadors receive a t-shirt and padfolio.
