How to register

To register, use the online assistance above or complete the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA). Acrobat Reader may be required to view this application. If you are unable to access this form, please e-mail or call our office at (316) 660-7100 and we will email, mail or fax the application to you. Or, you may obtain the Standard Form 76 - Registration and Absentee Ballot Request, Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) - from the U. S. Embassy or your Commanding Officer.

Kansas does not require that the form be notarized or witnessed.

To qualify for a federal service ballot to be mailed 45 days in advance, the Federal Post Card Application is the only application permitted.

You may mail your ballot to the Sedgwick County Election Office in the envelope provided with the ballot. Your ballot must be received by the Election Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.

The voted ballot may be returned by mail, fax, or e-mail:

If your voted ballot is returned by e-mail or fax, you are not required to also mail your ballot. Your email or fax cover page must contain your name, address and the phrase “I waive my right to privacy”.

To confirm that the Election Office received your ballot, contact the Sedgwick County Election Office Advance Voting Specialist.

To successfully vote absentee, UOCAVA citizens should:

Allow plenty of time to request, receive, and return their ballot.
Notify their local election official each time their mailing address changes.
Become familiar with their State's absentee voting deadlines and procedures to make sure their ballot is properly executed and will be counted.
