MedSafe is an unused and expired medication disposal system. MedSafe receptacles accept controlled (Schedules II-V), non-controlled, and over-the-counter medicines. Medications are destroyed using incineration, meeting the DEA's destruction standard of non-retrievability
In Sedgwick County, MedSafe collection receptacles can be found in some pharmacies as well as the following police stations: Bel Aire, Cheney, Clearwater, Haysville, Kechi, Mulvane and Valley Center.
