Sedgwick County conducted a public meeting for citizens in the Hancock Acres neighborhood regarding options aimed at reducing future flooding potential due to the naturally high groundwater table in the area. West Branch Chisholm Creek Watershed Study
The Sedgwick County Stormwater Management Advisory Board completed a study in April of 2016 of the 18 square mile West Branch Chisholm Creek watershed located in Valley Center, Wichita, Park City, Kechi and rural Sedgwick County. The final report identifies potential improvements to address areas of flooding, channel erosion and sedimentation throughout the watershed.
