Administration - Special Projects Unit
The Special Projects Unit is run by Lieutenant Eric Slay and Sergeant Brandon Monroe who report to Undersheriff Keith Allen. With the help of staff members, they coordinate and accomplish a multitude of projects and programs that affect the entire Sheriff's Office as a whole. While they do have an important impact on all divisions, their main emphasis is on patrol.
The Administration Special Projects Unit is involved in the following areas:
- Kansas Open Records Act (KORA) - Manage requests and subpoena compliance
- Management of departmental SAP asset records
- Media Relations
- Administration of video systems which capture:
- Body camera
- Vehicle camera
- Interview room evidence
