On February 17, 2017, the Sedgwick County Adult Local Detention Facility will be changing inmate commissary services and inmate meal services to CBM Managed Services. Additionally, CBM will take over the management of the Sedgwick County Courthouse Cafe. As a part of this changeover, CBM will replace all current inmate kiosks and public cashiers located in the facility as they bring their system online. In an attempt to avoid an interruption in commissary services for the inmates, all commissary orders and money transactions must be completed by February 14, 2017 at midnight. This will give CBM the time needed for the changeover with the least amount of impact to inmate services. The CBM changeover will NOT affect inmate phone services or inmate video visitation.
After the CBM changeover is complete, friends and family can go to www.jailatm.com to create an account and deposit funds on inmate accounts, this function will be available starting February 17, 2017. Generally the fee structure will be less than what is being charged now by the current vendor for deposits. Citizens will be able purchase individual commissary items for inmates. A new service of inmate email will also be available to inmates and their families through www.jailatm.com. By combining our inmate commissary and inmate meal contracts we have secured lower pricing for the taxpayers of approximately $100,000 a year.
