The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Detention Career Fair on Saturday, March 23, 2019. The event will be held at the Wichita/Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Center, located at 4310 19th Street Wichita, Kansas, on the Wichita State University campus.

Registration for the career fair will start at 8:00 a.m. and the application process will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Those interested in the career fair should bring: workout clothes, tennis shoes, their social security card and high school diploma, as testing will be taking place.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office now hires individuals at 18 years of age. Individuals that are 18 years of age, or are soon to be graduating high school, are encouraged to attend. The Detention Career Fair is part of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office on-going efforts to increase staffing in the detention facility.
