At approximately 6:13 PM on October 31, 2021, a Chrysler Concorde and Dodge truck collided at the intersection of 63rd Street South and Seneca. The driver of the Dodge truck was southbound on Seneca traveling through the intersection with a green light when the Chrysler entered the intersection traveling eastbound. The Dodge truck struck the Chrysler on the driver’s door.
The operator of the Chrysler, Clenea Meairs (38) of Wichita, was transported to a local hospital and later died.
Two juvenile females, 16 and 8, in the Chrysler had minor injuries and were released to a family member at the scene.
A 17-year-old male passenger in the Chrysler was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The operator of the Dodge truck, a 25-year-old male from Newkirk, Oklahoma was uninjured.
The circumstances of the collisions are under investigation.
