On July 30, 2021, at 10:08 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a suspected intoxicated driver near 95th Street South and Broadway. At 10:09 A.M. a two vehicle injury accident was reported south of 103rd Street South and Broadway. Deputies arrived and located a severely damaged Ford Escape and Ford Fiesta.

During the collision investigation deputies learned the southbound Ford Escape operated by a 46 year old male crossed the center line and struck the northbound Ford Fiesta driven by a 46 year old female. It was also determined the Ford Escape was the vehicle described in the earlier report of a suspected intoxicated driver.

The driver of the Ford Escape was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Two passengers in the Ford Fiesta, ages 21 and 11, were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
