Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office Offender Registration Unit Resumes Normal Operations

WICHITA, Kan. (Feb. 21, 2025) – Effective immediately, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office Offender Registration Unit has resumed normal operations at its location on the 2nd floor of the Sedgwick County Courthouse.

All offender registration services and fingerprinting are once again available. The unit had closed earlier today at 11:30 a.m. due to extreme weather conditions and an unexpected HVAC issue, but services have now been restored.

This update supersedes the previous directive for offenders to register at the Sedgwick County Jail. Regular operations will continue as scheduled at the courthouse location.
