Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office Announces Relocation of Offender Registration Unit

WICHITA, Kan. — The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office announces that the Offender Registration Unit (ORU) will relocate to the second floor of the Sedgwick County Courthouse at 525 N. Main, effective Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. The move marks the transition from the current ORU location at the old Wichita Mall, 3803 E. Harry.

All services provided at the current facility, including offender registration functions and fingerprinting for employment purposes and concealed carry permits, will continue to be offered at the new location.

Visitors to the new ORU office should access the Sedgwick County Courthouse through the main entrance. After passing through the security checkpoint, proceed to the second floor via the stairs or elevators located in the main lobby.

The ORU's hours of operation will remain Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
