Sedgwick County, KS – On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office Benefit Fund will start its annual food basket drive to brighten the holiday season for those in need.

Volunteers will gather to package food items for delivery at the Dillon’s Warehouse, located at 21999 W. Kellogg in Goddard. The media is invited to attend the packaging between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

This annual drive is made possible through the generosity of Sedgwick County citizens and local partners and will provide 400 families with two boxes filled with various food items. Dillon’s has generously donated materials, facility space, and personnel to support this effort. Nominations for recipient families were submitted by community members and first responders throughout Sedgwick County.

In addition to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, dozens of volunteers from local first responder groups—including Fire, EMS, 911 Dispatch, and Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Deputies—will assist in packaging and delivering over 800 boxes of food to families in need.

Thank you to the residents of Sedgwick County for their generosity and to Dillon’s for their continued support in helping us make a positive impact on our community.

Please RSVP to Branden Stitt for media attendance.
