Sheriff’s detectives recently made two arrests relating to the storage unit burglaries in the 6000 block of South Oliver which occurred on the 24th and 25th of May. Over $15,000 worth of property was stolen in those burglaries.

A break in the case came at 5:00 in the morning on June 7 th , when two Wichita Police officers detected a burglary in progress in the 2900 block of West 13th Street North. The WPD officers took two people in to custody for that burglary and the subsequent investigation by detectives with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office indicated that those two people were likely involved in the storage unit burglaries on South Oliver.

Consequently, Charles J. Davis, Jr, a 33 year old man, and Michelle L. Estep, a 32 year old woman, both of Wichita, were booked in to jail on seven counts of burglary.

Sheriff’s detectives will present their case to the District Attorney’s Office next week.
