SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update regarding the skeletal remains discovered on Dec. 16, 2024, in the 4800 block of South Clifton in Oaklawn.
Based on a preliminary skeletal examination conducted by an anthropologist, the probable race and gender of the remains have been identified as those of a white male. The examination revealed no immediate signs of trauma among the recovered remains.
Detectives, working closely with the Sedgwick County Coroner’s Office, continue efforts to achieve a positive identification. This includes a detailed review of dental records and other investigative techniques.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information that may help identify the individual to contact the Investigations Division at (316) 660-5300.
