Board of County Commissioners

  • Commissioners accepted a donation for COMCARE from Ascension Lutheran Church.
  • Board appointments: Ms. Kathy Deane, Sedgwick County Mental Health Advisory Board; Mr. Neil Guthrie, Sedgwick County Mental Health Advisory Board; Ms. Joanna Kilgore, Sedgwick County Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board.
  • Seven students from USD 259 were recognized during a graduation for Project SEARCH. Project SEARCH is a program through the school district to provide intern opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Interns gain work experience to help them become gainfully employed. Photos attached.
  • Sedgwick County Extension Office reported on area insects such as oak leaf itch mites and provided a report on their arboretum.

 County Treasurer – Tag Renewals

  • Vehicle tag renewals are due this month for any residents whose last name begins with the letters C and D. Residents may choose to renew online, in person, or via mail. Click here for more information about renewals.
  • To renew a vehicle currently registered in Sedgwick County please provide:
    • The registration renewal notice received in the mail.
    • Proof of insurance.
    • Form of payment - cash or check, money order, cashier's check made payable to Sedgwick County Treasurer, or Discover, Visa, MasterCard or American Express.  A fee of 2.25% will be assessed if paid by Discover, Visa, MasterCard or American Express in person.

 Events Calendar

  • INTRUST Bank Arena was recently selected to host first/ second round of the 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament.
  • The Midian Shrine Circus will be at INTRUST Bank Arena this weekend, April 21 through 23. More details can be found here: www.intrustbankarena.com/
