Board of County Commissioners

  • The Board of County Commissioners will hold a workshop at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at the Main Courthouse, 525 N. Main, third floor. This meeting will not be broadcast but recorded and posted online.
  • The next regular Board of County Commissioners meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 4.

County Treasurer

  • Vehicle tag renewals are due by the end of the month for residents whose last name begins with the letters P, Q, or R. Residents may choose to renew online, in person, or via mail. Click here for more information about renewals.
  • To renew a vehicle currently registered in Sedgwick County please provide:
    • The registration renewal notice received in the mail.
    • Proof of insurance.
    • Form of payment - cash or check, money order, cashier's check made payable to Sedgwick County Treasurer, or Discover, Visa, MasterCard or American Express.  A fee of 2.25% will be assessed if paid by Discover, Visa, MasterCard or American Express in person.

Events Calendar

  • This weekend (Sept. 22 and 23) a cattle drive in honor of the 150th Anniversary of the Chisholm Trail will reach Sedgwick County. Click here for map of the drive.
  • A ribbon-cutting event opening EMS Post 16 will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 2:30 p.m. The Post is located at 5055 S. Oliver.
  • Learn more about World Rabies Day at an event sponsored by Sedgwick County’s Animal Control. The event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Sedgwick County Zoo’s Cargill Learning Center Auditorium. Additional information is in the attached flyer
  • Plan to attend this year’s Senior Expo on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees can receive program information, caregiver resources, and enjoy the popular Local Favorite Fashion Finds Fashion Show. Complete details are in the attached flyer.
