The Consumer Protection Division enforces the Kansas Consumer
Protection Act, the Kansas Charitable Organization and
Solicitations Act, the Kansas Open Meetings Act, and the
Kansas Open Records Act, along with several other state
civil statutes. The unit assist citizens by
investigating possible violations of the law and files
formal legal actions when appropriate.

transactions by reading about contest/prize scams,
charitable solicitations, home repairs, fair debt
collection, foreign financial scams, new car deals,
telemarketing fraud, work from home scams, unordered
merchandise, used car deals and used car warranties.
File a complaint against a business or person you
claim defrauded you or engaged in an unethical business
