At approximately 7:49 P.M. on June 20, 2022, a 2003 Buick Regal traveling southbound on West Street left the roadway and struck a tree east of West Street in the 5300 block south.  After the collision the vehicle caught fire.  

 

The 69-year-old female passenger of the Buick, Donna O’Reilly of Wichita, died at the scene.

 

The 73-year-old male driver, and husband of the deceased, was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

The circumstances of the collision are under investigation.
