911 Advisory Board

The 911 Advisory Board exists to determine operational policies and procedures, provide recommendations in the purchase and implementation of new 911 technologies, and advise on emergency communications related matters as it affects the Emergency Communications Department. Read the bylaws.

Employee Advisory Board

The Employee Advisory Board is comprised of one employee per operational shift (not including AM or PM shifts), one Operations supervisor, one representative of Support Services, and one employee selected by administration. The Operational supervisors are responsible for coordinating the selection of their shift representative. Each employee on the Board will serve for a one-year term, January through December, unless the employee moves to a different shift at which time a new representative from the shift will replace them. Employees may serve multiple terms if selected by their shift to do so. There are no requirements of tenure or position (call taker vs. dispatcher), it is open to all employees. The Board will meet every other month.

Emergency Communications Community Advisory Board

The Sedgwick County Emergency Communications Community Advisory Board, hereafter referred to as the Advisory Board, was established February 7th, 2024, with the primary purpose of making recommendations to the Emergency Communications Director and staff on matters of policy and procedure regarding any matters related to the operation of Sedgwick County Emergency Communications.  The Advisory Board is not able to take any formal action on behalf of Sedgwick County.  At the request of the Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners or Sedgwick County Emergency communications, the Advisory Board may recommend operational policies and procedures, and also make recommendations for implementation of those policies and procedures.  At the request of the Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners or Sedgwick County Emergency Communications, the Advisory Board shall review specific emergency communications related problems or situations, or programs of Sedgwick County Emergency Communications and make such recommendations it deems necessary.  The Advisory Board may study and make recommendations on codes or resolutions proposed by Sedgwick County Emergency Communications prior to their submission to the Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners.
